By default, all projects will be seen after you select one client to track time.

If you want to see just client-related projects you can assign projects to the client in the Manage section:

  1. Click Clients in the left menu

  2. Select one client and click Edit

  3. Click Projects tab

  4. Select a project to be assigned to that client

A client can be deleted as follows:

  1. Select the “Clients” button in the Manage section of the main menu and you will see a list of clients
  2. Find or search for a client you want to delete
  3. Hover the right icon and click the “Delete” button

Please note:

If you delete a client, all data and reports related to them (tracked time, for example) will be saved and visible in the Timers, Reports, Timesheets, and Dashboard.

Client data can be edited as follows:

  1. Select the “Clients” button in the Manage section of the main menu and you will see a list of clients
  2. Find or search for the client you want to edit
  3. Hover over the right icon and click the “Edit” button
  4. Edit client data in the opened form and save the changes

Only Admins can edit all clients, while Managers can only edit their assigned clients.

This is the most efficient option if you want to upload all clients at once. Only the team members with the roles of Admin and Manager can import clients.

  1. Click “Settings” in the main menu
  2. Click the Import tab in the header
  3. Download the CSV file and fill or copy clients into the Clients column (you can fill or import other categories through this form – team members, projects, and tasks)
  4. Save the file to your desktop or in a folder
  5. Upload the file by clicking the “Upload” button

This way, you create a full client list in Time Analytics. You can see this list by clicking the “Client” button in the main menu.

This list contains only client names; the rest of the data should be filled in the Client section with the Edit option. Note that other data is not mandatory, but it can be useful if you make automatic invoices or integrate Time Analytics with other apps.

If you repeat the import process (for example, you have new clients and you want to import them), make sure to only import the new clients into the list so you avoid duplication.

Of course, you can always add new clients manually too.

You can add clients one-by-one (option 1), or create a new client when you are adding time in a timer (option 2).

Option 1

  1. This option entails manually adding clients one-by-one:
  2. Select the “Clients” button in the Manage section of the main menu.
  3. Create a new Client by clicking the “Add New Client” button in the upper right corner and fill in the client data.

Fill in the client data (Client Name is the only mandatory field, while other fields are important for issuing invoices and integrations with other applications)

 

With this option, you can create a new client when adding time to the timer:

  1. Create a new time entry in My Timers
  2. Click on the button “+ Client – Project – Task”
  3. Type a client name and click “ADD”

 

 

The added client will be listed in the drop-down list in Timers and in the client database as well. This way, when you enter a client’s name, the other data will be filled in the Clients section (MANAGE – Clients > Edit).
